On April 8, the new policy of Beijing Medical reform was implemented. According to the newly set medical service fees in various hospitals, some patients believe that after the price increase of “registration fee”, all of them have been included in the doctor’s pocket, and I am worried that the phenomenon of “seeing a disease and hanging several times” will occur in the future. In this regard, Gao Xiaojun, spokesman of the municipal health Planning Commission, said that the medical service fee is all medical activities engaged in by medical institutions, including medical care, pharmacy, imaging, inspection, the medical service charge items for the attendance and other related personnel reflecting the value of technical labor are neither registration fees and medical treatment fees, nor doctor service fees.
The relevant person in charge of the municipal health planning commission said that the essence of the medical service fee is the compensation for the operation cost and the medical team that provides diagnosis and treatment services to patients after the medical institution cancels the drug addition and registration fee. The charging standard of medical service fee is only related to the grade of the medical institution served. Setting up medical service fees is not to compensate doctors but to compensate hospitals. It is to establish a brand-new compensation mechanism to let medical institutions bid farewell to “supporting doctors with drugs”.
For patients worried about the problem of “seeing the disease several times”, the relevant person in charge of the medical administration department of the municipal health planning commission said that the specific situation should be analyzed in detail. On the one hand, the tertiary hospitals provide specialized services, with detailed professional division. Some patients have complicated conditions. After diagnosis, it is not surprising that doctors suggest them to register in other departments for further examination.
