Norovirus epidemic occurred in kindergarten and primary schools in District 14, Beijing.

Report from our correspondent (Reporter Zhang Xiaomei) the reporter of Beijing Youth Daily learned from the municipal center for disease control that as of March, there were 166 outbreaks of norovirus acute gastroenteritis in this city, and there were reports of norovirus epidemic in 14 districts. The Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminded that there is a small peak of noroviruses from March to June every year, and it is expected that the outbreak of noroviruses will remain at a high level in the near future. In addition, the risk of imported cases of H7N9 in this city will continue to remain at a high level.

Norovirus outbreak in District 14

From January 1 to March 31, 166 cases of acute gastroenteritis epidemic of norovirus were reported in this city. Among them, 82 occurred in kindergartens and pre-school institutions, 69 occurred in primary schools, 9 occurred in secondary schools, 4 occurred in universities and colleges, and 1 occurred in families, one happened in a restaurant. Except Pinggu district and Yanqing district, Noroviruses were reported in other 14 administrative areas.

According to the monitoring data of previous years, the concentrated epidemic of norovirus reported in this city mainly occurs in nursery institutions and schools, and there is a small peak in March to June every year. Norovirus has fast mutation speed, high infectivity and rapid transmission ability, and often causes outbreaks in intensive units such as nursery institutions, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. The city is expected to maintain a high level of norovirus aggregation in the near future.

The risk of imported cases of avian influenza A (H7N9) remains high.

From January 1 to March 31, the incidence level of human infection with avian influenza A (H7N9) in China was significantly higher than that in previous years, and it showed a trend of many aspects. The city reported 3 imported cases of human infection with avian influenza A (H7N9), from Hebei and Liaoning respectively.

According to the existing data and research, the pathogenic characteristics, transmission routes and transmission modes of the avian influenza A virus have not changed significantly at present, and the city has closed most live poultry markets since 2005, it effectively blocks the main route of transmission of avian influenza A virus to humans through poultry. Therefore, it is unlikely that a large number of local cases of human infection with avian influenza A are concentrated in this city. However, there may be sporadic cases caused by private transactions of individual live birds, and a small number of aggregated diseases are not excluded. In addition, there are a large number of cases coming to Beijing from other places in this city, so the risk of imported cases remains at a high level.

Students need to report collective vomiting

The Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminds the general public that personal hygiene should be paid attention to in the prevention of infectious diseases. Wash hands before going to bed and before processing food; Wash raw fruits and fruits; Fully cook eggs when eating poultry; indoor ventilation is often carried out; Avoid public places with dense crowds and dirty air.

Nursery institutions, schools and other collective units should strictly carry out the disinfection of the campus environment in accordance with relevant regulations. Once children and students are found to have symptoms such as aggregated nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, they should be guided to see a doctor, and home isolation treatment, closely monitor the health status of absent children and students, and report to the CDC and the superior department in a timely manner.

Avoid contact with dead livestock, stay away from the poultry slaughter site when playing in the farmhouse, and avoid trading live poultry privately. If you find that you have fever, red rash, cough and other symptoms, you should go to the hospital for timely treatment as soon as possible. Please wear a mask when seeing a doctor. Do not go to work or school with illness, prevent transmission of the virus to your family or colleagues.
